Our chickens with 1 & 2 animal welfare hearts lead a calm and comfortable life. They grow up in clean and familiar surroundings. The chickens have free access to nutritious feed and clean water around the clock, so they can choose for themselves when to eat and drink. For chicks with a 2-heart animal welfare rating, there are toys inside the coop to keep them entertained. This way, we ensure that our chicks are happy.
All the chicks are of a slow-growing breed and are raised without the use of antibiotics. They grow at their natural pace, which improves their quality of life and makes them stronger and healthier.
The Animal Welfare Label comes in three levels—the more hearts filled in, the better the animal welfare. At Danpo, we offer 1-, 2-, and 3-heart chickens.
